Beverly Brabham of Alabama (authors note: Beverly
is a victim. She is out of prison now but because she is trying to
expose those in her area they are trying to put her back in prison.)
I fully support all of the contents of this petition. I believe strongly
that it should be viewed as a serious attempt to put an end to corruption
and injustice here in these United States of America. The pleadings from
the people who are involved, directly or indirectly, with injustice should
carry a lot of weight with higher courts. The Courts should care to insure
Justice for All, not just for those who can afford it.
Margi Crook of Alabama
There are too many innocent people in prison. Prosecutors and police who
lie should be sent to prison t hemselves for their own wrongdoing in getting
convictions of the innocent.
Mrs.Gomez of Texas
stop this wrong doing I know from personal experience how they tamper
with evidence and my son ended up on the row too because of it ,it is inhuman
and unjust..
Linda Davis from Texas MOST in need
immunities and protections for those most in the position to abuse due
process have gutted our justice system and the possibility of any citizen
to assert his rights under the very Constitution that is supposed to protect
them.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEE: WRONGFUL CONVICTION WHEN THE GUARDS AND WARDEN'S
AT THE PRISON'S SET UP A SICK (MENTALLY ILL ) INMATE FOR A MURDER OR CAUSE
THIS TO HAPPEN. THE INMATE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS CRIME! HE OR SHE
IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LACK OF MEDICATION AND CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHM,ENT.
AN INMATE DRIVEN TO INSANITY BY THE PRISON IS WRONG!
KRISTIE MONTFORD
WRONGFUL CONVICTIONS ARE WRONG AND UNJUST... MY BOYFRIEND IS ON DEATH
ROW NOW BECAUSE OF AN UNJUST CONVICTION. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP
Lisa Banuelos from California
I am the wife of a man that has been in prison 9 years for a crime
that another man did and the police, the prosecutor, and even the court
appointed defense attorney covered evidence and denied defense witness testimony
that would have vindicated my husband. The Judges, attornies and prosecutors
are never held responsible when a person does get vindicated in the higher
courts. Nor if there is adequate proof of innocence and the higher courts
also fail to implement the law, as written. Nor are any of them held accountable
or punished when evidence shows their knowldege of the facts and their willingness
to convict innocent persons. And Higher court judges ignore the writs and
appeals of the innocent, because a vindication might make local courts look
bad, or the judges are just too busy to bother with adminsitering true justice.
This must stop and these wrongdoers should be investigated and punished for
robbing people of their freedom and thier lives with thier loved ones.
Nancy Davies of California
My husband has served 17 yrs on a 16-life for protecting me from an intruder.
His Public Pretender decided not to do his job, because he thought, it was
an open and shut case in my husbands favor. That's the kind of injustice
we have in our courts!!! We've had 3 lawyers who basically have done nothing
but take our family's money. My husband has had to do the last part of his
Appeal (Federal level) on his own. This is his last chance and we have no-one
to help. I ask you, Is this Justice??? A Public Defender should be exactly
that!!!These people should be held responsible for their actions on a REAL
LEVEL, UP FRONT WHERE EVERYONE CAN HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!!!
Donna Doolin-Larsen from California
I have a Factually INNOCENT SON on Death Row at San Quinten,CA. All due
to the injustice of corruption called "overup", and an over zealous deputy
District Attorney looking for another bloody notch in his belt in this county
and state.
Joy Wurdemann from Idaho
My husband was wrongfully convicted, and it was proven , yet the good
old boys continue to get away with murder, they have to be stopped! They
are ruing lives and they are the criminals who deserve to be behind bars.
Please join us and help us finally have justice served.
This petition says exactly what I have been praying for since they set
my husband up and wrongfully convicted him on a high profile case and continue
to torment him in prison for who they made him out to be in the media. The
cops lied, the prosecution lied, the victim lied and our own attorney set
us up and even the judge has bloodstained hands ; and they all had something
to gain by convicting my husband. He is a Catawba Indian and it was all political,
and racial and evil games to put away an innocent man and further their
own sick agenda's. Thank you for this petition and never give up, as they
are the criminals who deserve to be behind bars. My prayers are with us
all. God Bless!
Heidi M. Niemic from Massachusetts
I am the sister of an inmate who was convicted of first degree murder
(life WITHOUT parole), for defending himself during a fistfight!!! How is
that premeditated????
Debra Barton of the United Kingdom
My husband is on the Row for something he didnt do. Jailhouse witnesses.
Inept defence. Prosecutorial misconduct. Biased Judge. Convenient for the
fall because he'd been in trouble before. Sheer laziness and inefficiency
on the police part simply because he was convenient. If they'd done their
job they would have seen someone a darn sight closer to home than him. You
call this Justice?.
Frances A. Miller of California
An example of a wrongful conviction is John Post, who is currently incarcerated
on death row in San Quentin State Prison. This inmate has been sentenced
to die for a crime he did not commit. While he did not lead a stellar life,
he is not guilty of murder. Unfortunately, a lack of funds led to a public
defender, who had never tried a death penalty case. The only thing John Post
is guilty of is poverty and having poor representation. Never fear, he will
pay the ultimate price in America for being poor. Additional information regarding
his case is available for anyone interested enough to care about justice.
Teri Johnson of Utah
my ex was wrongfully conviced and he would be out if the judge who saw
all the mistakes would have some balls and over turn the other judges decision.
My children need their father back! They have even violated his civil rights
and won't do anything about that!
Cindy Johnston From Mississippi
This is for my husband who has been incarcerated for 25 years in a Mississippi
prison for something he did not do
jackie harley from Pennsylvania
My husband was wrongly convicted he was stripped of his right to counsel,
speedy trial etc. since a Cheif Judge tried the case the appeals court went
right along with him. The whole system does not work and someone needs to
check into judges breaking the law
Suzzanne M. McMillan of Arizona
Wrongfuly convictred in prisions as well as in our courts. Urinalisis tampering
inside is comon to diciplin inmates they can not find an other way to punish.
Lawers who "defend" inecenct people with no experence and con them out of
all their money, for monitory gain alone who provide inefictive councel
and openly attend parties with the accusers family during trial should be
incarcerated.
Janice Smith of Florida
Something needs to be done about wrongful convictions which happens if
you don't have the money to fight for a fair trial or have a state attorney
like we have in Jacksonville Florida that has never let lack of evidence
or an innocent person go unpunished.
Lynn Fonceca of Florida
Our justice system is flawed and our leaders need to become aware of these
flaws. It seems to happen to all races, and all ages. Open your eyes.
Michelle of Wisconsin
Please give Michael L. Brown 04909-090 USP Florence CO justice. He is innocent...it's
proven
Beverly A Bello of Texas
My son was forced to plea bargain to a crime that he didn't do, but he
wasn't even present. This was done by his attorney and the district attorney.
Due to the abuse that he indured he ended up on mental illness medication
while waiting for trial. He was only 19 yrs.old. Due to his mental condition
he was rail roaded
Barbara Atkins of Pennsylvania
This is a travesty of what Justice stands for! Stop this dirt, and stop
it now! How would you in power like to have this happen to you or your families
and loved ones!?? Why are you allowing this and even taking part in this evil
deed? Inmates are accused of being monsters, so why are there monsters who
are legal authorities still in office and/or in power doing this hellish thing?
Do you have any morals at all? A conscience? Anything that sets you apart
to be recognized as human beings? (To those it applies!, and you know who
you are, don't you!?). Do you not know there is an afterlife, where you will
pay in torment for all your wickedness? A place where you will not ever escape
eternal torment!? Has America become a nation of "terrorists in power and
official office?" What is happening to true freedom? Stop this now, and stop
selling your soul for dollar sign before it is too late for you who do this
evil! what right do you have to play God with what belongs to God; (Ie, People
He created!) You do not
Annamarie Jordan of Pennsylvania
I think the name of "the Justice system" should be changed to "The Just
as System," since they do "Just as they please!" They don't care if a person
is innocent and are cold hearted snakes, who need to be replaced with "real
humans" who have absolute morals!
KRISTIE MONTFORD from North Carolina
MY FIANCE IS CURRENTLY ON DEATH ROW IN NC INNOCENT OF THE CRIMES HE WAS
CONVICTED OF. HE WAS ARRESTED WITHOUT ANY INVESTIGATION BEING DONE....PLEASE
HELP GET THESE INNOCENT MEN OUT OF PRISON AND OFF OF DEATH ROW
Amiko Kensu from Michigan
My husband is innocent and in prison for the rest of his life. The investigators
involved have admitted this to people. He and his alibi's have past polygraphs
and yet he sits in prison. Everyday I wake up hoping and praying that someone
will do the right thing and tell the truth, That someone will have the decency
and morals to stand up for what is right. This has cost us everything. I've
been forced to do what the police should have done in the first place.
Diane Valderrama from California
We need the Public Defenders to Defend NOT help Sentence inmates.
Jovonne Stewart from California
I do not have any friends or family convicted wrongfully or justly of a
crime. I hope that it shall remain this way, because crime is devastating
whatever the instance. But should something ever happen, I want to be secure
with the knowledge that the people I know will receive a just trial. There
have been repeated instances & complaints of inmates who have been incarcerated
for crimes they did not commit. Why is this? In this day and age, with all
"advancements" in civil rights & liberties, such atrocities should not
happen. Being interested in a future as an attorney, I want know that my
colleges will abide by the Constitutional & Civil rights entitled to
every individual in this country, innocent or guilty. In order for this to
occur without error, the justice system above us, has to adhere to those
rights as well, offering swift retribution against those that violate it’s
ordinance. It is my belief, that once this petition is sent, it will not
be ignored & dismissed, rather considered & put to use.
Deborah Hankins from Connecticut
I have two sons incarcerated and were wrongfully convicted of some of there
chages and want too fight to reopen cases .
Cynthia Baalerud from Michigan
I used to have faith in our Justice System,I even went through training
in Crisis Intervention to enable me to help and work with Victim's of Crime
on a Volunteer Basis until 1997 when my son (who is mentally ill) ended
up involved in our so called Justice System. It was by his own doing of
course and as he and I both agree, he should do his time for the crime he
committed. Not for crimes HE DIDN'T COMMITT!!! Because were not a wealthy
family (not poor either) my son had to leave his defense to a court appointed
attorney who I believe truly wanted to help my son & (in his words)
said to me: I'll Go To My Grave Knowing He Is Innocent but they have my
hands tied & I'm only allowed to do so much! Then said: I'll deny ever
telling you this as far as my hands being tied if I was ever to be questioned
about it, I have a family to support and can not risk being out of work!
sonia ruiz from California
my husband is doing 15 years for false accusations on the police officers

Deborah Salery from Florida
My brother just got a sentence for something he did not do. Never have been
in any kind of trouble with the law. My family is desperately seeking help
for him.
Brother AkbarX from Michigan
Is Justice Blind? That's a good question. There is thousands and thousands
of Brothers & Sisters, who is doing time for not committing a crime.I had
a past experience in the late 1970's with the Justice system, but thank GOD,the
case did not turn out all screwed up.I was in the wrong place at the wrong
time, and the so called witness lied. After bouncing back & forth to court
for six months, the judge gave me a year's probation, but the charge stayed
on my record as a felonie for seven years. But during that time I studied Human
Rights,Civil Rights.I discovered that after so many years without getting
in trouble with the law,I could request to have the charge removed from my
record, and get my finger prints, and mug shots back. That's why I am involved
with different rights organizations, and watchdog groups. Also I am a Activist
in my community, against Police violence against citizens. The law makers need
to take a good look at false arrests, and being sent to prison wrongful.
Kim Biron from Nevada
have experiance injustice and it is easy to get in prison but so so
hard to get out once you are said to be gulity until you prove your innocence
and if you have bad counsel to prove your innocence you go threw hell and
$$$ to get yourself out
Diane from Michigan
My fiancee was wrongfully accused for a crime he didn't do. The one that
did is enjoying life as we speak.
Deborah Fields from Illinois
An unjust broken system in which judges allow prosecutorial misconduct,
perjured statement in order to help jury make decision on conviction so that
case can close case . How lawyers and judges work together in taken the poor
people money.
Sherry Pierce from Mississippi
please listen to the people speak!
Melissa Bradley of California
amen! it is a shame that innocent people are sent to prison. i think so
low of the prison system.
Families of the Wrongfully Convicted of Illinois
Polices, Prosecutors and Judge should be held accountable without immunity
for their actions of injustice. No one cares because, it have not effected
them yet. The truth of the matter is, it has effected everyone in America.
With our family member in prison and all of our tax-dollars footing the bill.
It's called Railroad the Innocent at Tax-Payers Expense. Because they don't
know or care where their money is going.
Shanon Coon of North Carolina
There are too many inncoent people in prison. Just imagine if they thoroughly
investigated cases like they should, we could lower our inmate population
tremendously nationwide.
Lillie Bizzell of Texas
I know of a man who cannot get a DNA test which would prove his innocense.
William King of Maryland
This is happening at a rate larger than 10 or 15% because you need to add
the children who are intimidated by overzealous prosecutors. Did you know
that there are over 400,000 children in the system today? It's time for a
huge change in our system and the first thing to stop is the charging of young
children as adults just to get the state more money and a easy case for the
prosecutors. Did you know that prosecutors are placing the highest charge
that they can on our children just to plea bargain their young lives away?
Royce Denman of Texas
John Ashcroft needs to backoff and let the judges decide what is fair in
sentencing and the incompetencies of attorneys, prosecutors and judges requires
a real serious look. Judges for the most part are in the pockets of the prosecutor
since most are ex-prosecutors. The win at any cost must be stopped.
Angie of Tennessee
Officials are humans just like we are. Only with a uniforn on or added resposiblities.
Something should be done to those who are willing to do anything to gain a
conviction. We should stop profiling the accussed and bring individuals to
trial based solely on facts.
Joyce Gorneault of Florida
I have a brothe who was recently wrongfully convicted
Joyce N Thomas of Tennessee
I am right now fighting for justice for my son. and I am all for justice

Judy Swindle of Success Missouri
they need to be sure they have the right person before they convict anyone
so much law enforcement today just like to accuse people because they just
want to hang them because they have had problems with them before in the past
or they just simply do not like their looks this is awful and it needs to
be stopped

My son, Torm Howse, is also wrongfully imprisoned on a FALSE CHARGE made
against him, and subsequent serious civil rights and constitutional rights
violations also made against him.
Glenda Grigsby
There are so many persons incarcerated that need never been sent. There
is no real justice except for the rich. Then again there is no money made
without inmates being incarcerated. That is what the justice system seems
to operate, all through GREED !
Marbut Holbrook
We have a Grand Son in Prison ,Has been there 6 years ,He was convicted
of Ag. With a deadly weapon and the charge should have beenSelf defence because
he was only protecting his Momand Little Sisterfrom the victim who was so
strung out on Drugs and Alcoholhe was out of his mind and no one on the Jury
or the D .A or Judge could figure that out,
Deborah Fields of Illinois
We as people in various state shall united to fight for wrongful conviction
where more unjustice done to afro-american and Hispanic than any other race.
A white individual can be accussed of the same type of crime and go free or
lesser conviction then all other race. I would like to know about true justice
to all no matter what color you are.
Carolyn Burke. CK news of Missouri
All these people that has signed has said it all. Now, what is left is just
to do something to stop innocent people from going to prison. If this does
not happen it will come back on all of us. Innocent people turn out to be
angry and have every right to be. Then someday they will come to live next
door to you. They will bring their diseases home and go to your doctors, your
post office, your grocery stores. What goes around comes around. What we
need is action to end this. I have an innocent son in prison.and that is
why I now write a newsletter for inmates and anyone interested in what is
happening inside prisons.I am from the Show Me State so now I am waiting for
you to show me what you are going to do.
S Thompson
Corruption is very much alive. The prison system in CA is their largest
industry , and it appears the preference is convict as many as possible and
then to make matters worse, punishment not rehabilatation is the goal. In
many cases, innocent people are lied to by the police and persuaded and assured
they don't need an atty. and "must" give a statement. Then when they do explain
what has happened, and without being read the miranda rights, then surprise,
they are arrested and it is used against them! They can make anyone look guilty
and then next, the DA gives the news media a one sided story; the innocent
person is tried in the news for months before a trial. There is no way to
have a fair trial and the verdict is almost always convictions. The judges
make the decision to allow these statements as "confessions" to be used against
them. Convictions feed the coffers and is the goal not real justice. The
average person trusts the "officers of the Law" and unknowlingly play right
into their hands.

Have we become such a murderous society that we don't care who we kill.
The dignitaries who allow this atrocity to go on must ask themselves, "what
if this would happen to me."
Barbara Harris of Maryland
When will our judges and prosecutors learn that the justice system is about
trying crimes, our technology has advanced tremendously allowing positive
tests to provide hard evidence, ballistic tests, fingerprints, DNA, which
most states ignore. Stop convicting innocent people on circumstantial evidence,
perjurous testimonies and false theories. Give the people back their constitutional
rights!
Kila Grimmet of QLD
Why should the innocent sit in jail, while the people that commit the crimes
are free to re offend. Justice isnt justice then.
Rosemarie L Monroe of New Hampshire
I pray for all the injustice to end. There must be a way to free all the
innocent and it is our responsibility as citizens to force the justice system
to act now to free them
Lynn FOnseca of California
My husband is a victim of this injustice. When will the words be listened
too. When will the public realize that this is occurring and not believe the
system is infallible.
Kimberly Taylor of Washington
my husband was falsely accused and convicted and his lawyer did a bad job
defending him and he was sentenced to over 16 yrs for something he didnt do.
