The story of a criminal
I am 46 years old and I am 5’11 and I weigh 210 lbs. And,
I have Tattoos from my neck all the way to my ankles. All from my life
in these prisons here in Texas. I have a 99 year sentence for murder
as a habitual offender. I will have to do thirty years to come up for
parole, in the year 2029. And, the chances are very big that I will
die here this time. I have never made a parole in the three other times
that I have been here in these prisons and it isn’t likely that I shall make
one come 2029 either.
I am currently in Administrative Segregation
for being a “Gang Member” here in Texas. I live in a 5 by 9 foot cell
for 23 hours a day and sometimes when we are locked down for months and months
of 24 hours a day in this cell. I have been blessed with a radio and
fan, along with a typewriter to help do this tons of time that I have.
But, I have no one out in the world, except my old gray-haired Daddy
to write and I feel as though I am in limbo with knowing someone being able
to talk to others, to talk about different issues that this world has come
into since my departure from the “real world” in 1999. Again, I have
endless time on my hands and all I do is work out and read novels.
Needless to tell you, I am in great shape and well read! HA HA!
I am enclosing a photo, one of which have few, but its one of the latest
taken of me. I respectfully ask that if possible could you copy it
and send it back to me. If not, that’s all good Lee. I would
rather have some people to write other than the picture back! (smiles)
I have been in trouble with the law for all my life, even
when I was very young. I have past cases includes, Armed Robbery, Aggravated
Assaults, Car Theft, Attempted Capital Murder, Attempted Murder. Attempted
Burglary of buildings, with a deadly weapon, and finally this Murder as a
habitual offender. I have done a total of 20 years in prisons along
with an additional three totaled out in county jails and city jails along
the way of this hell that I live in.
I started doing my time in 1979 in a Texas prison and
back then it was one of the cruelest, harshest places God ever put in this
East Texas dirt! It was “predators among predators!” As in time I shall
talk about and let others know of the dark natures of men behind bars.
The Guards that used to hold life or death over the heads of inmates that
were new and didn’t know what this type of life in steel was all about!
All in time. But, I have lived it, one thing is assured, I am not one
who has heard the stores and echoes them, I have been here and I have lived
them.
I am not someone who has got busted for a probation crime,
or hot check writers. I have killed men, I have robbed liquor stores.
I have cut other men's throats, I am a drug addict, an alcoholic. I
started shooting dope when I was a youngster, and have done it all!
Bar none, it all.
