There are many cases where
convictions are made on medical findings by the medical examiner. I have
seen cases where the medical examiner wrote his report to protect other
doctors. There is a case where a baby died from a doctors over
prescribing medication. He had the medical examiner that the baby died
from shaken baby syndrome. The father is in prison for murder.
There are many cases where shaken baby syndrome is listed as the cause of death
when the baby had brittle bone disease.
There are also case where people are convicted of murder where it was a
suicide. There are cases where forensic medicine shows that a person is
innocent when compared to the witness testimony.
We want to set up a national network of health professionals to look over the
medical evidence and report on it. You may have to appear as an expert
witness. Most victims of the system were poor in the first place.
The others are poor because of the costs of their defense. We need
volunteers. We can not pay you.
There are also cases where prisoners are abused and or killed by guards and/or
prisoners. Many of these cases are covered up saying the victim fell down
the stairs or had a heart attack. In these cases you may be asked to look
at pictures or autopsy results to determine the real cause of the
injuries or death.

You may make some enemies in your profession. There will be times when
you will be in a position to expose negligence and
false reports by members of your profession. Some may get sued or
charged with criminal offenses because of your actions.
