Young Boy Sentenced to Life in Prison

I wrote this letter to a relative of a young boy sentenced to Life in Prison.

Before committing the murder he was put under a lot of stress similar to prisoners of war, Korea. I left out the boys name not having permission to use it.

I’m a man of just about 73 years old. I retired some number of years ago from a large conglomorate Company. I became interested in juvenile killings some years back in the 1980’s, but soon forgot about it at that time because of my work load. At that time it was three young boys that killed a little girl. They were sentenced to death and later I was told it was changed to life.

I am also a Korean Vet, our ship was in Inchon three Months after MacArthur landed his troops in Inchon Korea. Those troops that were captured by the Koreans suffered a lot by the beatings that they got followed up by brain washing. Classes were set up and they had to learn and remember Communist ideology or get beaten again and again till they learned it by heart. When that happens it screws up the mind and it will take some time for him to get over it.

These men were captured and held. But with another young boy in this country a different matter. First they are friends and then it’s a slow process toward brain washing, at first small discipline as time goes on and he’s hooked to the group it gets worse. Much as the young boy described it in court. With little kids they might kill an animal in front of the child then tell them that if they say anything they would kill them or their parents.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that don’t believe that brain washing or mesmerism work. I believe that you can make a person believe anything. It’s all covered under suggestion. If you don’t believe me try playing a trumpet or clarinet in front of a person sucking on a lemon. The lemon doesn’t even have to be real, just as long as it looks like it is and the person playing believes it is. I am not an expert on Mesmerism (hypnotism) but there was a time when I studied a lot on it.

I don’t know if the young boy will get out of that sentence or not, but he will need a lot of deprogramming and it won’t happen at Prison.

I have been interested in what to do with these kids that have crossed the line and are paying for it in an Adult Prison. I would like a response from you as to if this program sounds O‘K. The program that I am working on is on the idea that these kids will not get out soon. This is not a working program now but I hope it will be if I can draw up enough support.
