In our country Children have become footballs, toys, boxing gloves and other things that adults use for getting back at their spouses, making a name for themselves in their profession, a stepping stone to promotion. It seems like many use children for their own purposes forgetting that they are here to be loved and nurtured. The adults are supposed to be there to help children live happy lives and while enjoying childhood to grow to productive and happy adults.

Children are not footballs to be passed from home to home. Children are not pawns in the chess came of life. Children are not weapons to be used by people to get even with others. Parenthood is not a game.

Child Protective Services, Family Dependence Agency, Social Services and other state agencies are a failure. They think about themselves more than the children. They spend so much time harassing good parents that the bad parents are not found until it is too late.

They take children who are referred to them and try to change their stories. A spouse may accuse the other of molestation and CPS will get involved. Every parent put in jail is a straw in their hat even it the parent is innocent. The one thing they are good at is putting words in a child’s mouth. They can take a child who says that they have not been molested and convince them that they have. I saw a figure of 25% of those in prison for child death; endangerment and molestation cases are innocent.

Children are taken away from good homes because they bruise easily or neighbor’s lies and accusations by people who have a grudge. Teachers and doctors have to report cases of suspected neglect and endangerment cases. It they see bruises, broken bones and other indications of child abuse they have to report it to CPS. There may be a good reason. When I was a kid I would come home with bruises from riding a bull calf, daring a goat to but me in the butt. I had a broken leg from another kid pushing me down a window well and a broken shoulder from dodging a fake bullet in a gun fight. I almost lost an eye from chopping wood. That was life for a boy in the 50s. There was no worry about kidnapping or molesters so we had more freedom to get hurt.

Today many parents are more protective because of the dangers of child molesters but kids are kids and they do hurt themselves. There are also children with diseases that make them more susceptible to injury.

I think that shaken baby syndrome is used more for sending parents to prison than any other reason. I have seen cases of medical malpractice covered up using the shaken baby syndrome as the cause of death. Brittle bone disease is also misdiagnosed a lot as shaken baby syndrome. Parents are turned against each other in order to send one to prison and make it look like the CPS is doing their job.

While they are hassling good parents they are letting the bad ones go through the cracks. They are taking children out of good homes and putting them in abusive homes.
